RoofVIP is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless a release page explicitly states otherwise.
Bavarian Open Geodata attribution
The Munich releases use source products provided by the Bavarian Surveying Administration (Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung) through Bavarian Open Geodata. For v1.0.3.0 these include:
- DOP20 RGB orthophotos;
- DOM20 digital surface data;
- DGM1 digital terrain data; and
- laser-scanning / LiDAR point-cloud data.
Derived image tiles, elevation crops, and point-cloud subsets retain the applicable source-data attribution requirements.
RoofVIP-derived products
Manually produced roof annotations, converted polygon representations, derived nDSM data, scene organization, dataset curation, and benchmark structure are distributed as RoofVIP products under CC BY 4.0.
Users should attribute both:
- the Bavarian Surveying Administration for the underlying geospatial products; and
- the RoofVIP authors for annotation, processing, curation, and benchmark preparation.
No endorsement by the original licensors is implied. Always preserve the source and licensing information included with the archive and consult the corresponding release page before redistribution.
